Venetian Gondola Ride
  Venetian Gondola Ride
Does this go under Hotels or Entertainment/ Attractions? <g>

I heard that the gondola attraction at the Venetian is $10. Is that true? Has anyone done this ride and is it worth 10 bucks?

From what I saw last week V, I'd take the money and go to Madame Tussaud's instead.

Mark: Definitely Madame Tussaud's sounds like the better choice. If the gondola ride is $10, they should be giving free drinks or lunch with that

Veronica,
The gondola ride is $10. I thought about doing it, but just never got around to it....so much video poker, so little time. I figured it was so hokey, I should do it. Glad to hear the wax museum was so good. I think I would enjoy seeing it. Hopefully next trip.

I did some further reading and found another article that says the gondola is $10 for 10 minutes. If that one is true, then is sounds like a real waste of money.

I thought the whole set-up looked kinda crappy. If there was an upside to the ride, it might be that you can learn the Koval exit by a slow ride around the place.

I'd rather use $10 to gain 3 points on my slot club card.

Veronica, how does the $10 price compare to the rollercoaster at NYNY? (and the Desperado?) I think I'd like a little shake, rattle & roll for the buck<g>.

Daisy: Excellent point! Manhattan Express is $8, Desperado is $5, Venetian Gondola $10.
The more exciting the ride, the cheaper it gets <g>.

I think the $10.00 price for the gondolas is a rip off. We did the real thing in Venice and I dont think we paid that much. I am going to Madame Tussauds.

Snookie,

I don't think this is much of an attraction. Unless you're idea of a good time is sitting in a boat in a narrow path of water in the middle of a shopping mall with lots of people looking at you. <g>

We visited Madame Tussaud's last week and I made some comments on another note with that title, if you want to check it out.
