Elton John's Millenium Las Vegas' shows will go on as scheduled according to a spokeperson from Caesars Palace.
Elton John returned to the stage last Saturday (Aug. 14), giving his first performance since undergoing surgery last month to be fitted for a pacemaker.
The 52-year-old John gave a private concert in Orlando, Fla., telling the audience of 3,500, "It's been a while since I played. I'm a little rusty, but I hope you like it."
John, whose "Candle in the Wind '97" tribute to the late Princess Diana is the biggest-selling single of all time, has rescheduled concerts canceled in July because of his operation. He is due to play his first public concert on Aug. 29 in Leeds in northern England.
Despite having the pacemaker inserted — which prevented him from singing at the wedding of soccer star David Beckham and Spice Girl Victoria Adams — John managed to put a smile on things. "The only long-term effect of the heart problem is that I have to carry a card explaining why I set off the alarms when I walk through airport security," he said, following the procedure.
Elton's Las Vegas appearances will be December 30th at Thomas and Mack and a private Ceasars Palace show (invite only) at the hotel on NYE.
