   Rat Pack vs Bill Acosta?
   Rat Pack vs Bill Acosta?
Well my planning continues and now my latest dilema....What shows to see. When I heard that the Rat Pack was closing I was a bit upset cause it sounded like a great show. Here's what I have planned so far. Saturday dinner at Smith & Wollensky's followed by the Tom Jones show at the MGM (I have already purchased my tickets), Sunday the "O" show at Bellagio-10:30pm (Already purchased tickets)-thinking of doing the buffet before the show, Monday -go downtown and do the Freemont thing, Tuesday-seeing Bill Acosta the 7:00pm show (I have not purchased the tickets yet). My question is do I go see Rat Pack on tuesday and nix Acosta........or as my insane husband thinks.....have an early saturday evening buffet at Bellagio.....take taxi to Deset Inn to see Rat Pack.....and make it back to Bellagio in time for the "O Show" at 10:30. Is he insane..or do we have time to eat, see Rat Pack and see "O" all in the same evening. Or do we stay with our first choice of Bill Acosta.....or to we see Rat Pack instead.

Carrie,

The latest word is that the "Rat Pack is Back" will close on October 10th which IS Sunday night. Maybe you could verify this with the DI.

The "Rat Pack is Back" early show should end a little after 9pm, so you could get back to the Bellagio in plenty of time. But, it probably would be a good idea to ask the taxi driver to take the "fast route" instead of using the strip.

Also, it's a good idea to be in your seats at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start of any Cirque show.

Now which show is better ? We really had fun at the Rat Pack show. This will be your last chance to see it. I'd give it the edge over Bill Acosta. Yet, Bill is very good and we enjoyed his show.

Now, whatever you decide, your husband isn't the only crazy one. Back when you could find headliners performing at 11:30pm or midnight we did three shows in a night a few times.

Carrie, As long as smoke doesn't bother you I recommend the Rat Pack show also.

Re smoke... Just saw Rat Pack. Enjoyed it very much. To my surprise, there were very few smokers in the audience so theater was not very smokey.

Tip the seater (we did $10 for 4 people) and got nice, front elevated seats in back section. Didn't have to strain to see over anyone.
