The Sahara is to become the new home for the world class Magician, Steve Wyrick in Febuary 2000.

Looks like Lady Luck won't be giving away tickets for a $50 bet to his show, for very long.

Lee,
Have you ever seen his show? I know the LVA thinks he is great, but since I don't always agree with their recommendations, I wasn't sure how good the show was.

Lee-Ann:

I saw his show at Lady Luck when it was called "Sexy Magic." One of the selling points of the show at that time were attractive showgirl "assistants," who performed dance numbers at various point during the act (10 p.m. show was topless -- only in Vegas!).

Anyway, I like magic but am more a fan of close-up than the big illusions. I thought his show was good, but not great. One of the problems with the big illusions in a small venue was that, from my close seat, I was able to see things I wasn't supposed to see.

Lee Ann,
I haven't seen his show, but it's not because I wouldn't see him. It's because I have to go to the Lady Luck to see the show.

I have to agree with MarkL, I am a magic fan, but I like the slight of hand stuff, not the Sigfred & Roy type stuff.
Here where we live, there is a kid (20 something) that is really quite good with that sort of thing. He always has a new trick, everytime I see him. Would you beleive he's waiting tables? <S>

Lee Ann, I saw the show in July. I got 2 for 1 tickets off the internet so the cost was only $15 per person. For that price the show was ok. I think he was hampered by the small room and just being in the Lady Luck. If you can get a decent deal on tickets, I think you would like the show. Just don't expect Lance Burton or Sig and Roy.
Look for deals on tickets on the internet and see what you find.

John and Mark,
Thanks for the reviews of the show. I wonder what they will charge for tickets now that he is moving to the Sahara. I'm sure the ticket price will increase.
