My current information shows Alain STILL performing at Paris, but only for a few more days. His run closes Nov 11th. Alain received a poor review from the LVRJ's entertainment critic Michael Paskevich.
As I mentioned, I thought this show was mediocre at best, but it looks like others liked it less than I. A major problem with this show was the room was too big. A portion of the show included "close up" magic which would have been great in a place like the small room at Caesars Magic Empire, but it wasn't tthat impressive when viewed on a projection TV above the stage.
You mentioned "Spellbound" which will soon be closing. Ayala - the magician who stars in that show, was checking out the competition when we saw Alain. Even though you are a fan of magic, I encourage you to see Clint Holmes who will replace Spellbound at Harrahs. IMO, it's a much better show. Clint is a great singer/performer and Harrah's was smart to grab him when the Golden Nugget showroom closed down.
