3000 Miles To Graceland, wraps at the Riviera.

Principal photography completed shooting at the Riviera Hotel & Casino for the new Kevin Costner Picture, 3000 Miles To Graceland. scheduled to open prior to Christmas, the film stars Christian Slater, Kurt Russell, Bokeem Woodbine, David Arquette and his wif Courtney Cox Arquette.
Briefly, the movie starts off with the stars pulling off a casino heist at the Riviera, amidst an Elvis Presley Convention. After a bloody gun battle, they escape on the Riviera roof for a waiting helicoptor. The plot centers around the adventures that follow the pursuit of the "bad guys" across the country.
John Neeland, the Riviera's publicist, stated, "The Riviera was choosen over many other hotels because it had 'the retro-look' the director (Demien Lichtenstein) wanted. Neon flashing everywhere, motion and the casino sounds added to the feel achieved during the five nights of filming".
Neeland continued, "The Riv is known internationally to be 'Hollywood-friendly'. In fact, when word got out who was going to be here, fans waited hours for the arrivals of the stars. For those that stayed up at 3 and 6a.m., they could have played blackjack, with Kevin Costner or roulette with David Arquette between takes, both in thier Elvis attire.
In the cloosing ceremony on the final morning, Lichtenstein presented a "purple heart" engraved with "for beyond the call of duty, from 3MTG" to David Arquette & 3 crew members for having sustained shrapnel wounds during a scene filmed two nights prior. The company has now moved to Vancouver to complete the picture.
