   Help.....Need to know about Boneyard....
   Help.....Need to know about Boneyard....
I was watching Vegas Vacation and saw the scene where the kids were dancing among some old Las Vegas memorabilia. I later learned that this place is called the boneyard(?) Does this place exist? Where is it?

It does exist, it's not open to the public.

Yesco owns it, it's all the old signs that where taken down over the years, and stored. You can see some of the restored signes in operation near the Fremont Street Experiance downtown.

It was also featured in Al Rokers "Going Places" (A travel documentary on Las Vegas filmed several years ago) I did not know that it was not open to the public - It was very interesting and certainly should be (IMHO). Wendell

I saw a special on TV last week about YESCO, and they said the boneyard was cleaned up shortly after the filming of Vegas Vacation. They said the land was cleared to build new buildings. Most of the signs were disassembled to be recycled, and some of the classics went to a place to be restored for the neon museum.
