We're going to Vegas in April and are considering a trip out to the Hoover Dam. We did a tour about 6 years ago and it was impressive. Anyone know how much they've cut back for security/terriorst concerns since 9/11?

Also, with the war on, what's the mood in Vegas? We see machine gun toting policy standing outside St. Patrick's Cathederal in NYC. Is the security evident in Vegas? Are people cancelling their trips due to the high profile city's reputation?

Just curious.

Don't know about the Hoover Dam tour, would you believe that I have never been on it and I live 30 minutes away from the dam and I've driven over it dozens and dozens of times and I cruise over to it just about everytime I take the boat out.

The mood in Vegas is and will always be typical Vegas. You get here and forget about the worlds problems. Vegas is not about to stop due to the current world crises. The only problem Vegas will encounter is too many people that watch the news and get scared at what they hear and choose to cancel their plans and stay at home.

I have turned off FOX, CNN and MSNBC and tuned into the "Classic Rock" station on my cable TV, just to get away from the flood of war coverage.
