I've been seeing shows in LV since the early 60's so bear with m if you haven't heard of a couple of these.

BEST COMEDY ACT: Without a doubt I have to give this award to Don Nickles. We saw him sometime in the 70's, so he as much younger and a real barrell of laughts. This is a wild guess but I think we saw him the Riviera. (Anyone know where he atually played in those days? The hotel comped us because it was kind of wedding give to the groom.)

Don Rickels made me laugh so hard that I actually fell off my seat a couple of times. (They didn't pack the rooms so full back then, I guess!)

I was really impressed by the speech he gave at the end of his act. If you ever saw him, you already know what I mean.

MOST REMEMBERED ACT: I wish I could remember this one well but it was one of the first acts I've ever seen in LV and might have been presented as the lead-in to the Jack Benny Show at the old Caesars Palace.

This comedian comes out on stage with a dummy held in his arms, takes a seat in the spotlight, and does they typical ventriloquist routine for the next ten minutes or so.

At the end, the dummy stands up and walks of stage with man held under his arms.

Needless to say and to the surpise of all, that dummy got a last minute standing ovation.

BEST DANGEROUS ACT: I'm tired of seeing acts that put someone in peril, because I always know how such an act after years on stage is going to turn out.

But there is one LV danerous act tha really gets my attention.

If you never saw it, you gotta see it.

Thealst time I saw it, it was in the Jubillee show at Bally' and it is the bow and arrow act.

No tme to go into dtails but it is an act you got to see in order to believe.

MAJOR PRODUCTION: Two awards here and some honorable mentions.

I like the elaboretness of Jubillee at Bally's.

The destruction of the Temple in the Samson and Deliah production and the sinkiing of the Titanic will long be remembered.

I liked "O" too, but for different reasons. How the heck do they make that pool do what it does do??!!
