I've been very interested in seeing this show since it was first announced several months ago. I've always liked the music of Queen. However, after reading the reviews, I'm not so sure I want to see it anymore.

Still the Las Vegas Sun gave it 5 Stars!

"We Will Rock You," the musical comedy with music by Queen that premiered this week at Paris Las Vegas, not only will rock you with some of Queen's most popular songs but will also entertain you with a witty script by Ben Elton.

The production was first staged in London two years ago, becoming one of that city's most popular shows. There's a good possibility that it may experience the same success in Las Vegas, where it has made its North American debut.

Mike,
I think maybe after Mamma Mia Popularity, we might be seeing more of shows like these. I was suprised by Mamma Mia, and I too was looking forward to this show as well.

Me too, in the Queen music - well not a fan, but I like it. I hope this show lasts until February, which looks like will be the next time I get out to Vegas (sigh.)

I'll look forward to hearing a review on the board from somebody before then!

Ok, we seen this one! My sister Sandy, wanted to see it, so off we go.

I Got decent seats the day before the show, (should tell you something). Also show wasn't sold out, not even nearly.
The music is great, the band is great, although they are hidden for most of the show.
Show takes place in the future, when all rock music is banned. I must admit I hate si-fi stuff. So this show was a bore to me. Againb the music was great, even the singers where decent, acting good too. However, they seem to getthe bigest reaction to a few toilet humor wize cracks and thats about it. Of coures there is that moment where they demand (expect a standing O). They play a little more and everyone takes a bow. Prices are $80, 90 something and $113.50 a ticket. Plenty of seats!!!! The $80 ones are fine for this show, it's a small theatre, steeped well. There is no intermission!
I was glad when it was over. Sharon took a potty break and I went out at the same time. We stood and chatted while she had a smoke break. I was so releived when Sharon tells me she is boared to tears with the show and she hates si-fi/futuristic stuff.
I'm not the only one!!!!!
Sandy enjoyed the show the most out of the 3 of us. However, no one wanted to do another show after that one.
So if your a queen fan, you'll probably be able to get through it. If you are a queen fan and a si-fi fan, this is the bomb!....maybe?

Thanks for the report on this one...I was really interested in it...the music that is. I'm not a sci-fi fan either. Although my husband is. He would like the Queen music also. I, however, doubt that I'd be interested in going after hearing your report. Thanks...you saved me some $$ that I can use for gambling instead. wink

Oh Dear - I purchased a ticket for this over the weekend - figured I'd take a chance! I should have checked Lee's review first. I'll be seeing this the Sunday before Thanksgiving.

Mike,
You might like it, Lee just might just have bad taste.

Mike & Susan, Larry might be correct.
I hated Blue man, I thought Danny Gans was slow. I couldn't wait for the recent raft trip to end! So I am a little different with my tastes of what I think is entertainment.
Mike, I'm hopping you like it, It will be interesting to hear your comments and the comments of others. I've been known to march to a different drummer on many occasions.

Lee - I'm always interested in other's opinions and appreciate yours. I was a little hesitant about this show since the reviews I've read in newspapers have been a little iffy. But I had read about this show when it opened in London (where it was and still is a hit) so I thought I'd take a chance. We'll see come November! --Mike
