Kes was kind enough to give me her extra Folies Bergere ticket and I saw the show last night. Her description pretty much says it all. Especially the part that says that she got her moneys worth. It's a classic long running show that has been reworked time and time again.

The show has some beautiful girls, many who are topless except for the 7:30pm early shows. The theme attempts to show dancing girls from the 1800s up to now. Some of the costumes and headpieces are very nice. Some of the stage sets and props are great.

There are some really weak spots too. The guy that keeps flipping the girl around got old after a couple of times and by the tenth time, it was just boring. Some of the best special effects had short songs. There was too much pop music and dancing for a show that was supposed to cover a large time span.

You know it's a weak show when the canned music sounds good. You know it's a weak show when a juggler with a fake piano outshines topless women. Sadly, this show won't be winning many awards anytime soon.

It is a classic and there are just a few shows like this remaining. If you want to see this show, I reccomend trying to find a free or discount ticket. See Kestral for details on the free spin vouchers. If you must pay for a show like this, you might want to consider Jubilee at Ballys.

Seating starts 30 minutes before showtime. The line to get in was upstairs, went all around the Celebrity Bar, downstairs, then split into two lines with one going in front of the main entrance. I just waited at the bar until the line went down. As soon as I got in, the show started. Once inside, there was no bar. If you want a drink, bring one in.
