Palm 837 Club
  Palm 837 Club
I got a postcard in the mail the other day from the Palm restaurant.
Inviting me to join the Palm 837 Club (that's the sddress of the original Palm in NY.)
* As a member I'll earn points for every dollar spent in any of the resturants.
* Free 3lb lobester on my birthday (now exclusively for the 837 club members)
* Members only offers & invitations to special events (???)
* Suprise bonus awards & more (???)

Cost is $20 to join and is a one time membership fee. Then after I dine there, they will send me a coupon for $20 off my next food purchase.

So I think this offer sounds like a winner on the lobster alone? What do you think?

Joe,
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing <VBG>
Well, I wasted a 20 in many a slot machine, so I figure putting a 20 down on this club won't be nothing! <s>
I did drop John's business cards in the box on my last trip, I was hoping he'd have gotten the same offer. It came to my company address!

Lee, I didn't get the offer, but I think I would join under one condition. Do you have to use the free lobster dinner ON your birthday? If that is the case, then the offer is worthless since I never have been in Las Vegas on my birthday yet. But, if the would let you use it within 30 days of your birthday, then it is worth it I think.

John,
The offer doesn't go into those kinds of details. But I seem to remember someone that was in this club before mention that the coupon for a free 3 lb lobster was good the entire month of your birthday. I'll check on it, before I fork over the 20 spot!
Also, I think it's a can't loose proposition, when you get your $20 back in a certificate on your next meal at the Palm. So basicly, the way I see it, they get you there 2 times, and give you a free lobster every year. I'm gonna give it a whirl and see what happens. I'll report on my findings after my September trip.
***also, no where on the postcard does it say I need to bring the card with me to sign up. I'm wondering if it would be worth the effort to try to join without the postcard. I think I'll play dumb at first and say I forgot my postcard, and see if they still take my twenty!

Lee, if you can sign up without the postcard, let me know and I will also.

John,
I'll post my results when we return from our September trip.
My late father always used to tell me, he'd say "son, It never hurts to ask"

Lee,

I assume you can redeem your birthday lobster at ANY Palm Restaurant. That's an obvious plus for those living in big cities.

David F,
Again, the large postcard i received was very light on hard facts & details. Even if you have to fly out to LV for the lobster, I'm thinking, it's a good excuse for one more extra trip <VBG>
But the points can be earned at any resturant, so I'm assuming the coupon would be good at any also. This was not a mailing just from Las Vegas, although the Las Vegas outlet is the only one we've tried to this date.
