Krispy Kreme at Excalibur
Is it open? Does it serve them hot and fresh...or truck them in from elsewhere (i.e. the west side store). Enquiring minds want to know....

Bill: Their website lists the Excalibur, so maybe it's open now.

I had a Krispie Kreme donut in NY (can't remember which store, though) and was disappointed because the donut was not hot. I didn't think it was particularly good served cold.

Maybe we should call the Excalibur at the 800 number and ask them if the Krispie Kremes are served hot. <vbg>

Bill and V...I would guess they are trucked in from their baking facility on Spring Mountain. I haven't tasted them as yet, but I've heard raves about the glazed apple cinnamon donuts hot from the oven.

Krispy Kreme mulls public stock sale

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Krispy Kreme may soon sell more than just hot glazed doughnuts.
Winston-Salem-based Krispy Kreme, which has
three stores in Las Vegas, is considering an initial public offering of shares of its common stock, the company said Thursday.

Great news....according to the AOL BB it is open and a full sized store where they bake their own fresh. =)

IMO, fresh and hot they are to die for.

Bill: It's true! According to Excalibur the donuts are made right there in the shop, so nothing is trucked in.

Making them fresh right there makes sence. I watched a report on CNN about Krispy Kreme and their expansion. Seems they are VERY protective of their product. I hope this stays true if they are as good as everyone says. Since we will be staying close to Excailbur in the very near future (T-18 days)
I'll have to walk over and get a dozen.

Doug,
I also saw the story on CNN. I could kiss the guy who opened up the Krispy Kremes in Vegas. I love them. We dont have any in OK.
So I am looking forward to getting some in LV. Glad they are making them fresh instead of having them shipped in. Nothing like getting them hot.

Now all we need is to get the Texas Station KK to make them fresh...

I left a message for one of my best friends last night who visits Vegas often and is a cop. Warned his wife that he'll want to start staying at the Excaliber now and suggested his police retirement fund look into the IPO for KK. His wife loves when I do stuff like this to him .

JM,
Very funny. I am thinking about buying stock when they go public. I think it would be a good deal.

senatorjm,
Do you think th LV police dept. might consider a change to the uniform? Perhaps something a little more like the knights of the round table. I realize they probably already wear body armour in the form of the vest. Maybe they could go back to something in the full body style?
