Ellen and I had dinner here last Friday. We went for the view of the pirate battle (Ellen had never seen it) and were only hoping for 'OK' food. Surprise! The food was absolutely wonderful and the so-called view was through tiny windows (so you couldn't see much and could hear less). Forget the battle...just go for the great food. We both had steaks, which were USDA prime and absolutely delicious. My filet mignon was melt-in-your-mouth tender. Ellen's NY strip was creatively prepared and also great (we traded tastes <g> ). Prices weren't bad: about $25 including potato, veggie and fresh baked bread. Not cheap, but very reasonable for prime steaks in a Strip resort.

Hello Bill,
Thanks for the resturant update. I too also skiped over the place, figuring the food would be ok at best.
Ready for the big day?

Bill, I have heard good things about the Buccaneer Bay Club from others. I guess I have never been there because I hate the crowds that the TI draws with the Pirate show.

Hi Bill,

Never eaten anywhere in T.I., but I, too, have heard good things about the BBC.

And congrats on the impending BIG DEAL.

Bill,
We had dinner at the BBC on our first trip to LV. We had not planned to eat there, but while touring TI, we saw a sign for the reastaurant advertising a view of the pirate battle. Since we wanted to see the battle, and the menu fare looked good, we took the elevator up to the restaurant. We had no reservations, but the wait was only 10 minutes. The food was absolutely delicious, although since it was 3 years ago, I can't remember what we had, but I was really impressed and thought I would like to return another time. You are right about the view of the battle---a waste. Since I have yet to see the battle in it's entirety, can anyone suggest a good time or place to view the show? It always seems sooo crowded from the street.

Michael,

Try seeing it from the outdoor Battle Bar. be at the door when the pirate battle crowd is letting out, then go in and grab a table. Have a drink or two and wait the 90 minutes for the show....I know of no better way to see it (I've done that twice).
