I have no specifics on the T-bone buffet, but I have tried various steak buffets, and none of them (not even the Golden Nugget) could do it right. The hype of having of steak buffet far exceeds the reality of cooking thousands of cheap steaks in one mass feeding frenzy. I'd love for you to come back from Vegas and prove me wrong. I really would.

Some of my most boring Las Vegas meals have come from Cafe Roma.

Tommy Rockers ribs are usually great, but they have been known to vary in quality from time to time. It's a crapshoot, but a good bet. Never tried breakfast there. My favorite breakfast is at The Sportsmans Galley, a little bit west out on Spring Valley.

David,
I can help on a couple of these...
#1. While we like MSS, I'm not a buffet person. The food quality is up a notch higher then most. Best Buffet right now in my book is Summerlin.
#3. Cafe Roma is an over priced coffee shop. Nothing special here. It's a great place to get a $12 omlet for breakfast when everyone elses omlets of the same quality are $4.95 and cheaper. Pass on this one.
#8. Tommy's ribs are great, but a few here have hit them on a bad night, so I'd say 95% of the time, they are great. Can't help you out about breakfast though.

David,

I tried Paris on Labor Day Monday, which I assume would be ths same as the Sunday brunch. and thought the food and service were both excellent. However, after I left the regular buffet, with a very full belly, I walked around the corner and saw that they had the champagne brunch in a large ballroom instead. So instead of $20, I only paid $10. But the freshly made omelete that I had was filled with seafood, crab meat and scallops, with spinich, onion, and cheese, instead of the usual ham and cheese. They have a crepe station, that I was too full to even try.
I will be going back on this weekends visit, so that I can try some of the things that I missed on the first time around.

D.,
Last month we were playing at the Venetian and wanted to test out their comps. So I went to the slot club booth and asked if I had enough play to get a comp to their coffee shop. The lady told me that their coffee shop was HIGH END and that whe would have to call a host over. After about 5 min. we were talking to a host and she said we could have a comp but it would be limited. We said OK then looked at the comp which had a $50.00 limit on it.
We then went to the Grand Lux, ordered an apitizer, 2 entrees and 2 soft drinks. Our bill came to 53.00. The food and service were GREAT. The even picked up the extra 3.00 on our will. I hope you get to eat there and have as nice a time as we did.

I just had a filet at Cafe Roma and it was very good. On past trips the service was very slow. This time the service was a little better, but still on the slow side. The food is generally ok, but I would not go out of my way to eat there. I eat there since they comp my meals and at 1 am the food court at Caesars is closed. So you don't have any other option if you get hungry in the early morning hours.
I have had Tommy Rocker's ribs on many occassions and have never had a bad meal there. I think the food is very good. If you did get a bad rack of ribs I am sure you could send them back for a replacement.
I know some people have had some less than adequate meals at TR's, but I never have.

Ditto on the ribs at Tommy Rockers!! I had the ribs and chicken combo and they were very good. They were cooked properly without being overdone, which is one thing that I hate. But of course the cold beer and the great fellowship probably made them taste even better!!
I have been to Coyote Cafe for lunch but not for breakfast. The stuffed peppers that I had were excellent. But even with me liking hot food, the first one had me thinking that I wasn't as tough as I thought, but the second one was much milder.

I ate at Il Fornaio last year and had a great seafood ravioli. Portions didn't seem huge but it was enough for me! Salad and wine were also excellent. Prices aren't the greatest but I would certainly go back and try something else!

Have fun,

D.A.G.: We dined with my son at Il Fornaio last January and enjoyed it. They serve really good bread which is made right there at the restaurant, I was told. I believe entree items are all a la carte, but prices are not out of sight. According to my credit card bill, we paid $88 for 3 people, including 2 cocktails and tip.

Sorry, I have not gone to Tommy Rockers for breakfast, but any food ordered there has always been consistently good, except for the ribs where quality has varied from time to time.

For breakfast Caesars Cafe Roma has always been good but overpriced. If you are being comped, then it's VERY good <g>. One suggestion for breakfast is Blueberry Hill on Flamingo Rd. East. There are 2 on Flamingo, and we went to the one closer to the Strip.

I have been to the MSS buffet but don't remember the t-bone steak night. Food quality of the buffet there is very good though.

D.A.G.: Yup, pancakes plus! It hasn't mattered what time of the a.m. we have gone--they are busy, which is always a good sign in my book that the food must be good. It's not so busy, though, that there is a long wait. We may have waited 10 minutes or so is all.

Any of their breakfast choices are very good, and I believe they serve breakfast 24/7.

D.A.G

I ate the T-bone buffet several months ago. Had been to a P* meet at the brewpub earlier. Had a buffet comp and was leaving on the red-eye that night so decided to go in and have dessert. Saw the steaks and had to try one. Not bad. They were huge steaks and they were cooking them right in front of you so you could get one done however you wanted it.
