   Planning Dinners for 4 nights
   Planning Dinners for 4 nights
Will be in las vegas sat, sun, mon & tuesday evening.
Sat- Smith & Wollensky.....then on to see Tom Jones
Sun- buffet at Bellagio....then on to see "O"
Mon-need suggestions.....our goal for that evening is to end up down on Freemont street
Tues-need suggestions......we have tentative plans to see Bill Acosta at 7:00.....this might change we may wind up seeing the Rat Pack so I need advice for both options.
We usually like to go to upscale restaurants...in the past we have gone to places like Gallaghers and Emerils. We enjoy steaks, seafood and italian food. Look forward to your replies. Oh, if this helps we'll be staying at Bellagio for 2 nights and then at the Venetian for the other 2.

Carrie, Wow, you are going first class with shows, dinners and hotels.
For Monday I would suggest the following since you will be downtown. I will list them in order of my prefences, but you cannot go wrong with any of these. They are all very good. It's hard to pick one over another, but here goes.
1. The Second Street Grill at the Fremont Hotel. Reservations are a must. I think they are closed on Tues and Weds. I ate there this past Monday and it was outstanding.
2. The Pullman Grill at Main Street Station. Make reservations.
3. The Redwood Grill at the California. Same as above.
4. The Pasta Pirate at the California. Same as above. This is not an Italian restaurant as the name implies.
5. The Great Moments Room at the Las Vegas Club. Make reservations.
These are my top 5 and I think you'll be pleased at any of them.

Carrie, for Tuesday you have your choice of many good restaurants on the strip. Since you are prepared to pay the price at Smith and Wollensky's I could suggest Nero's at Caesars to you. Dinner for 2 can run $150.
There are some places at the Venetian and at Paris that are suppose to be great, but I have not been to them, so I can't say for sure. Nero's menu is similar to Smith and Wollenskys, so they may be too similar for you to go to both.
Also, Michaels at the Barbary Coast and Drais at the Barbary Coast are outstanding. You must make reservations and they are both VERY expensive. I think they both have menus posted out front and you could stop by and take a look before you decide.
From the sounds of your plans you'd better bring the gold American Express Card with you<G>

Carrie,
I like all of John's suggestions, although I'd move the Pasta pirate up a little higher on his chart. <S> The Second Street grill is a place John insisted I try. I had very low expatations of the place (after all it was in the Fremont) but for downtown, it's a s good as it gets. Value, service, menu selection, this place has it.

On the strip for the following night, The Range (but go early) so if the service is off, you won't be late for your show. Bally's four seasons room is another nice choice.
