Ellis Island Oktoberfest
  Ellis Island Oktoberfest
Ellis Island is having an Oktoberfest, October 22 & 23.
All you can eat & drink 11am till 11pm for $10!
The beer is decent stuff and it's cold! With that alone in mind, if I was in town on those dates, I could do some serious damage!

Ellis Island is trying to become a after work hangout for the Paris employees. I've been inside twice now and it is a small Casino with slots & VP and maybe 6 live BJ games. It also has a decent coffee shop with some very friendly & speedy service. While playing the games machines or table, the Micro brews are free. I recomend the dark beer, if your into that sort of thing. It doesn't carry the kick that MSS's Black chip porter does, but it's still a very delicious beer. Mine was served to me in one of those 24oz tall glasses! ahhhh! Seriously, it dark beer is lacking the after bite that most dark beers tend to carry. So this might be a good thing for those who like the taste of a dark beer, but don't like the after bite. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd rate this a solid 8.5!

Lee, About a year ago I was at Ellis Island and had a prime rib special that I thought was pretty good. I did not care for the place in general, but the food was good and the service was decent.

Lee, They also brew their own Root Beer that I would rate a solid #10. We had lunch in the coffee shop in May. Two excellent scallop dinners for $6.00 with the LVA coupon. Plus they gave us $10.00 to join their slot club.

Lee,
We stopped at Ellis Island back in January. Michael tried some of their beer and he said it wasn't as good as MSS, but it wasn't too bad.

All,
Don't get me wrong, this isn't my new hang-out! But it is on the list of places to stop at while we are in town.
I have not sampled all the differnt brews yet. It's sort of a one per visit thing with me, since we always seem to be inside early for breakfast.
