There are plans to bring another Krispy Kreme donut shop to Las Vegas. It will located at the corner or Martin Luther King Boulevard and Craig Road. Construction on the building will probably begin sometime after the new year and the newest place to buy a great donut should be open sometime in March. <s>

Once again I guess you have to make a road trip to Allentown. <vbg> They sell Krispy Kreme donuts in Hess gas stations here, if you can believe that. LOL Michael had Krispy Kreme donuts as a kid in Scranton and raved about them. I had never heard of them. He went to get gas in the car one day recently and came home with some. I said, "Big deal it's a donut and besides it probably stale since it wasn't made on site." He made me try one and it was the best donut I ever had. I can't imagine how good they are when you get them right at a Krispy Kreme shop. Next time we go to see the in-laws, I'll have to try to get to one of their shops. In the meantime, next time we come to your area, I'll try to remember to bring you some.

I had one from the store in Excalibur the last time we were out. They bake them on site so you can get them fresh off the line.

What's different about them is the glaze is Krispy and the inside melts like Cream. Best glazed doughnut I've ever eaten. Stick with the glazed, the others are good but just not the same.

Greetings from Winston-Salem, NC. Home of Krispy Kreme Donuts. Also the Home of RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company, so between the two of them, you know that we are capable of making addictive substances. Wait a minute, they are just habit forming not addictive, to quote a former CEO.
Around here we take them for granted because it's an everyday thing. On my last two trips to Vegas, I was suprised to see the many new places that had KK donuts. I couldn't tell if the one at Texas Station actually made them there or brought them in. Excalibur has a nice setup where you can see them being made. That's half the fun of eating them. Especially when you get them, when they are almost too hot to hold. One minor correction is that they are fried in oil instead of baked. Just like some of these new potato chips, I liked fried chips better than baked ones.
Does anybody know if the same guy who finally talked KK into letting him set up a franchise is the same one that owns all the rest of them?
Lee, since you and Sue won't go with me to the all-you-can-eat Sushi bar, I'll take y'all out and buy you a dozen donuts, next time I see you!! I forgot to tell you that they're even good with beer!! But what isn't!!

WE went out to dinner with another couple Saturday night. There was a KK right next door to the restaurant. The other couple had never had them so when we came out and I saw the red "hot donuts" sign on, a ran ofver and got them a couple.

KRISPEE CREME DONUTS are so addictive. A fellow student in one of my classes brought in 2 dozen donuts and I couldn't stop after just one. They are so soft and sooo sweet. If you haven't tried them yet- go NOW! Well, can't wait for the new store....later
