   Tusk
   Tusk
Ate at Tusks at the Reserve on Sunday night. Got $40 in comps without redeeming points with a special they are running by running $1500 through the VP machines. A great deal!

Tusks is the renamed steakhouse at the Reserve. I had a VERY tasty bone-in ribeye and Kelly had filet of buffalo. We were both very happy with our meals. (I didn't care for the buffalo but she likes that sort of thing and liked this one.) I had a Caesar salad to start with and it was very good and included a couple of fried parmesan thingys on the side. The rolls they served were warm and buttery. So much for Atkins this night! For dessert we had an oreo crusted cheesecake and some kind of a rich chocolate ball. Both were great! Took home about half of everything! Also found a great bargain (at this price range) for a bottle of Beringer Knights Valley Cabernet 1994 for $35. The waiter, who was very flamboyant and funny, said at one time they were serving a duckhorn cabernet for something like $12. Seems like the wine steward isn't too savvy. Total bill for 1 app, 2 entrees, 2 desserts, wine, 2 coffee drinks and tax was $100 before comps.

2 thumbs up!

Randy

Randy,
Sounds like you did alright at this one. Felt sorry for ya, after reading the Chris story.
Always enjoy your food reviews. We've tried a few places on your recomendations already. Looks like maybe we now have something new to try in November.
Any Idea how long the VP prom is going to be going on?

It's supposed to end at the end of October. It could get extended, I suppose, since it originally was supposed to end at the end of September.

Randy, the ribeye sounds good. How'd you do on the vp? While I always find a lot of full pay machines at the Reserve, I can never win there.

I have some extra 2/1 coupons for Tusks if someone wants one of them. The coupon shows the old name Wildfire but apparently the coupon is being honoured until year end.
