Finally got to this Mexican restaurant on E. Desert Inn after a recommendation by Dave Feldman. I wish I hadn't waited so long.
If you want authentic Mexican this is the place to go. The interior is "cozy" Mexican. Nothing overly fancy or touristy, just the way a place like this should be. The chips and salsa were a good sign of things to come as they were tasty with a hint of spice to the salsa. I love an appetizer dish called queso fundido or "choriqueso" as they called it here. It's mexican sausage and assorted cheeses cooked in a dish and delivered with a side of tortillas to eat it with. This was by far the best I ever had. Hands down. For entrees I had Carnitas and Kelly had a taco/enchilad combo. Both were very tasty although I thought the refried beans were rather bland. Most apps were $6-7 and most entrees were $9-12. Not cheap by mexican standards but well worth it. A great meal!
2 thumbs up!
