Desert Passage shopping mall at the new Aladdin is expected to open with a group of new dining establishments:

The Macanudo Steak House is a well-known prime beef restaurant in Chicago and New York City. The Desert Passage restaurant will feature separate areas for cigar enthusiasts to settle in with a smoke and some spirits.

Alberto Lombardi's self-named restaurant, Lombardi's, will cover three cuisines with reproductions of an Italian trattoria, a French bistro, and a Moroccan bar/restaurant.

The Buddha Bar will offer Asian fusion foods served in a colonial Macau temple setting where there will be music and a gigantic golden Buddha replica.

The Anasazi will serve Southwestern dishes with a modern flair and have an American Indian theme of the Anasazi people of the American Southwest that will be interpreted in both the decor and menu.

Commander's Palace, which has been a New Orleans food fixture for nearly 120 years, has a kitchen that has been nurtured by celebrity chefs such as Paul Prudhomme and Emeril Lagasse, and this restaurant has been honored with countless awards.

Beluga Bar, serving caviar, has a theme recalling a turn-of-the-century wharf dive.
