Anyone eaten at the Pasta Pirate downtown? We ate at the Redwood a few years back, but have never tried the P.P.

Never ate at the Pasta Pirate, but everyone is telling me to try it because I will like it. It has always been high on the "recommendations list" but, like the Patsy Kline Show, I never seem to get there!

Cathy, I have eaten at the Pasta Pirate on many occassions. The food and service have always been very good. The prices are reasonable also. I have not had the crablegs that they are famous for. I know others on this bb have had them and can comment on them. I think you will like the food, service and the prices.

I'm a BIG fan of the Pasta Pirate here on TalkVegas. I've not had a bad meal or bad service there yet. Beleive me when I say I eat there alot. Sometimes 2 & 3 times a trip. Been going thier for many years too.
*hint #1* the maitre'd, is a bit of a comedian, and he's quite a bit fun if you have to wait for a table to open up. He also excepts tips! LOL
*hint #2* make reservations, the earlier the better at busy times.
*hint #3* always read the specials board just outside the door before you go in. The specials will not be on the menu anywhere!

Great restaurant. The specials almost always include steak and lobster which is quite good adn right around $10. FAR better than the specials you find at casino coffee shops.

I recommend the mixed grill. Save rom for warm apple dumpling with cinnamon sauce and ice cream. All dinners come with a glass of house wine. The herbed butter is great as long as you don't have a date later...full of garlic.

Jeff, that herbed butter is not a problem. I know it has garlic but all you have to do to cover the odor is to smoke a cigar afterwards<G>
