   ZAX
   ZAX
ZAX, located in the Golden Nugget, located where the California Pizza Kitchen was located. Is modern dinning at it's finest. We recently visited ZAX twice during our most recent visit. It's only been open for 9 weeks so far, and service was seemless, and food fantastic!
I was attracted to the place by the name, sent my sister over to check out the menu, to see if she would like to try it, the next afternoon we ate lunch there.
Sue orderd the Cajun Chicken alfrado, sandy had the Chicken Parm, and I opted for a cold pastrami sandwich on a house made roll, with frits and 2 dipping sauses. All of us where so pleased with the meal, we had to try dinner. The waiter told us, the dinner menu was totaly differnt, and we'd enjoy our meal even better.
Well dinner our last night in Vegas was at ZAX, and it wasn't a disapointment. I had the Rum Lobster Toastada's, as an apitiser (it could have been a meal)(it should have been a meal), but I also ordered pork loin with pepperjack bacon and smoked apple glazing, stuffing & asparagass spears included. Sue orderd the only lunch carry-over, you guessed it, the Cajun chicken alfrado, sandy had a giant saled and shrimp scampi. No one could finish all the food served. Again, service, food quality, and atmosphere where excelent! I could go on and on about the Rum Lobster Toastada's, they where so good, I didn't offer to share any of it. I should have been wheeled out of the place.
On weekend evenings late, it turns into a soft jazz club, a place we are told for the 30/40 something crowd.
Try this place, you won't be disapointed.
Lunch items 7 to 13 dollars
dinner apps about 10 dollars
dinner entree's 12 to 24 dollars
Steaks & some seafood items in the 30 dollar range.
Next trip, we check out the nightclub!

Wendell, If you get downtown, everyone should atleast check out the menu and have a look inside the place.
While the Golden Nugget owns and operates the place, it has a very modern art deco look. Like a Wolfgank puck place or Bull Shrimp at GVR. Also, wait staff is very well schooled on the menu and has some great recomendations as well.
Even if you don't eat there, stop in for a drink and a look around.
The menu has a page called ZAX FAX, it describes some of the terms, words, and offerings of a menu that some may not be familiar with. This is a great place to try new tastes & Flavors.
