Commander's Palace was excelent! Had the soufflay for desert, service was good without being stuffy. I suggest reservations if your going to try this place, as when we where there, it was doing on heck of a business that night.

I would second Lee's vote that Commander's Palace is excellent! I went for their Jazz Brunch - for $35, you get a drink, an appetizer, an entree, and a dessert. I thought it was great.
The only other restaurant I've eaten at at the Aladdin is PF Changs which is always excellent (but always extremely busy).
I really liked the Spice Market Buffet. They have a huge restaurant area and there is wide selection of food from many different cultures. For example, they have American food, Mediterranean food, seafood, Italian food, Mexican food, etc. If you like buffets...lot of people, loud environment, but lots of food. I would recommend going a little early so as to avoid the line at the front door. But all you can eat crab legs is very appetizing to me.
Have been to the Spice Market. I think it's the best buffet we've had.
Would also recommend Lombardos ? in the Desert Passage for Italian. Very good food there. Went just as they changed from lunch to dinner menu and there was hardly anyone there. Save room for desert and get the chocolate souffle type desert (can't remember what it's called). We split one and ended up fighting for it!
Also, for hamburgers, try Hamburger at the Oasis, also located in the Desert Passage. The chicken salad sandwich was delicious and husband really like the burger he had. This place seems to be pretty busy all the time.

Have any of you been to the Spice Market buffet in the past 3-4 months? Another board I'm on says its going down hill. Also, if you know the difference in menu items between lunch and dinner. Im not much of a buffet beef eater, so if it just means they herd out the cooked cow, I'll go for lunch. (I like my cow still moving around a bit, can't get that at a boofay!)
I hope you can use the slot tournament credit at Commander's Palace, but want to think of alternatives if the answer is no
Brenda, 2 things, Comanders Palace is in the Aladdin mall just outside the sports book. But I had a very poor meal there just 2 weeks ago. I'd recomed lunch, as any meal, not just one at $100 a person with poor service and cold and under cooked food is unexceptable. This was a party of 4 and no one was happy. What did they do? Offer free desert. No thanks. You just shouldn't have a reason to complain at those prices. I'd like to add, I'm not that darn picky!
Lee, I'm sorry to hear that. It's the first negative thing I've read about this restaurant. It just goes to show you how human nature is. I've been wanting to go there but after reading one negative post, I doubt I will. You are absolutely right....at those prices you shouldn't have anything to complain about. I am at that stage in my life that I would probably have sent mine back. Even if I did eat it, I wouldn't have settled for dessert as compensation. What a joke!
Brenda, We had 2 dishes that had to be sent back. One came out decent the second time.....mine however was still cold. They where just too busy and probably over booked, but again, poor service, poor food quaility there is no reasonable excuse.
