Last week, I was in the WynnDot, and I was on a roll where I did quite well. It was lunch time, so I tried a new place in the golf section of the resort.
It is a cute little place with a dark clubby setting and big wide windows. There is a nice bar and about 15 tables that overlook the last hole in the golf course and a big waterfall. Uncle Steve is pretty big on waterfalls in this resort. There is also about 10-15 tables outside on a shaded patio with misters. They face east, so it should be "relatively" cool, The menu is pretty simple. What caught my attention is that they serve gourmet steaks for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. These also come with gourmet prices. I guess if you are on a budget you could get a $10 hot dog.
I had a nice caesar salad, rib chop, french fries, and an iced tea for lunch. I think that I paid about $65 including tip. Service was good.
I found this place interesting because the view is sorta nice at lunchtime. I can't imagine much of a view at night. At night, I don't see this place competing with the top notch steakhouses. I do like the option of getting a a gourmet steak for breakfast or lunch. I know the WynnDot needed another breakfast option. I have heard conflicting reports as to whether breakfast is just a weekend brunch or a daily thing.
I have no complaints of this place. I thought that the waitress uniforms were much like a coffee shop uniform. It did not affect the service, so I did not care. It might be a good ace in the hole if your original plans get sidetracked.
