Continental/America West
I have a ticket for an America West flight that I did not take. It is good til the end of the year. Does anyone know if this ticket can be used on Continental. I am trying to find airfare for a future trip to Las Vegas and so far the fares are terrible. If I could use the America West ticket against purchasing a ticket from Continental, then I probably could book my airfare. I'm getting paranoid about not finding airfare for Oct.

Bob: That sounds like a really decent fare from the East Coast, especially the way airfares have been going up and up.

Bob, Did you check National? Joanne and I are traveling with her Sister and husband who are "seniors" The senior fare from JFK is $285.00 and each senior gets one companion ticket at the same price.

John,

AmWest is at 1-800-2FLYAWA. I'm sure they could give you an answer. Airline rules of ticketing are far too complex to rely on anyone outside of that airline's ticketing staff.

Bill, I plan to call the travel agent that booked the ticket and see what she can do about cashing it in for a Continental ticket for Oct. There are seats available on the flights I want, but the price is too high. But with the discount for the unused ticket, the price is decent. Besides, I need to get my flight booked soon.
