I guess transportation is as good a place as any for this.
The morning paper has an article about "Las Vegas hotel adn real estate tycoon", Robert Bigelow's plans to build a 100 passanger luxury cruise ship that will orbit the moon.
"Bigelow says he will invest $500 million in the project. His new space-tourism company will soon break ground for a headquarters in Westerb Las Vegas. The $6 million rocket-shaped building is to be surrounded by a moat and will include 90,000 square feet of office and warehouse space."
Bigelow is the benefactor of the UNLV's Consciousness Studies program which studies the paranormal, and he pays for research by the Nevada-based National INstitute of Discovery Science on unexplained cattle mutilations.
The Bigelow project's blueprints are being drafted. He envisions a half-mile long cruise ship accomodating 100 passangers and 50 crew that would spin to create gravity. It's parts would be built on earth, then assembled in space.
The ship would permanently orbit the moon, and passangers would be ferried to it from earth aboard smaller ships.
Bigelow owns the BUdget Suites of America hotel chain.
I SWEAR, I didn't make this up!
