I haven't been on a trolley in years! This would be fun. Has anyone done the trolley thing here?
Where does it begin and where does it end? Does the same trolley go from Downtown down the Strip and back or do you have to take different trolleys?
Here's some info from "What's On" magazine on the trolleys.
The Las Vegas Strip Trolley and the Las Vegas Downtown Trolley depart at 15-minute intervals between 9:30 am and 1:45 am daily. They stop at all the major Strip hotels as well as at the Stratosphere and landmarks in Downtown Las Vegas. Exact fare of $1.40 is required.
Gail, Out of all the trips we've taken to your fair city, we've never done the trolly. These last couple of trips, I don't even remember seeing it. The traffic keeps getting worse, so I guess it just blends in with the rest of the mess. Lee-PA
Lee, I've never noticed them on the Strip but have seen them at Fremont and Bruce. I didn't even realize they went down the Strip.
They look pretty old but I really think they look cool.
This is what I would like to see- no cars on the Strip and all trolleys. In addition to the traffic problem, it could possibly cut down on our pollution problem.
Gail, I took the trolley a few years ago. Dont remember where I was going. Somewhere on the strip. It took forever. Thought I would never get there and it was really crowded. Never again.I would rather take the bus.
Snookie, Thanks for your thoughts. I'm wondering why anyone would take the trolley for $1.40 when they can take the bus for $1.50. Only for slower, sightseeing reasons?
Gail, I try to take the trolley every once in a while because it's a great way to see the light show along the strip. If I'm just interested in getting downtown quickly, I would take one of the express buses, but the trolleys are more relaxed for sightseeing, and the riders are also more relaxed and friendly.

Daisy, I'm going to try the trolley some day- not on a hot day. But maybe at night or during the day in the fall or spring. Might even bring a camera with me and pretend I'm on vacation <g>.
My first trip to L.V. was the only time I didn’t have a rental car. One afternoon we took the Trolley and got a chance to see every Hotel on the strip in air-conditioned comfort, (it was Aug.) I remember we really enjoyed the ride up and down the strip. At that time the trolley only went to the strip hotels, from the Hacienda to the L.V.Hilton. The trolley is a great experience for the first time visitor!
