I was staying at the Gold Coast and decided to rent a car but had to pick it up at the airport because they were too lazy to bring the car to me.
I had about four hours to kill so I decided to conduct an experiment for a bulletin board such as this very one.
The objective of this new and earth shattering experiment was to see if I could get to the airport as cheaply as possible without resorting to heavy duty walking.
Here's what I did. Remember, I started at the Gold Coast and ended at the airport. It cost me about $5.40 plus tip.
The Gold Coast offers a complimentary shuttle service to the Barbary Coast.
From the barbary Coast you cross the street and enter Bally's and take a rather long walk through thier shopping hall to catch the monorail that takes you one mile down the rear end of the Strip to the MGM Grand.
You get off the monorail (is it a monorail?) and walk through another mall in the MGM Grand and search for the front entrance doors.
From there you cross the street and head over to the San Remo which has a taxi pickup heading in the right direction - east
You're pretty close to the airport now but it's still gonna cost you over $5.00 plus tip. Taxi's are not cheap in Vegas.
I thought you'd like to know this.
