Lee,
National’s F.F. Program is based on the price you pay for your ticket. You receive 1 point for every $10.00 you spend on airfare. If I can find a short description I will re-post it.

National Comps is a uniquely simple and rewarding frequent flyer program. Earn points not miles.

For every flight you take we'll credit your National Comps account with points equal to 10% of your fare. If you book through National Online, you'll receive an additional 25% bonus. First before booking, enroll in the National Comps program online, and you'll receive 20 bonus points to be credited to your account as soon as you complete your first flight on National Airlines.

National Comps points can be redeemed for free travel and first class upgrades on National Airlines and can be transferred into the Total Gold and Play Rio programs enabling members to obtain a variety of rewards from our partners, Harrah's Las Vegas Casino Hotel and Rio All-Suite Casino Resort. With as little as 30 points you can start redeeming your National Comps for rewards!!

You and members of your family can combine points into one account to reach your National Comps award goals even faster.

See National Comps Membership Guide for complete program details.

John,
American West is matching on some flights too! I've personally had some horror stories with them, but you can earn FF miles on Continental's FF program when you fly them. So I've got some major soul searching to do for my February trip now!

Lee, One of the advantages of National is that for $90.00 from JFK you can upgrade to an open First Class seat. As there are four of us going next Friday I have told my wife that I will make the sacrifice and upgrade, thus giving them an empty seat between them. JohnSr,
Don't know if I'd get to excited about the first class upgrade, as far as amenities during the flight. You get more room, but while playing at Harrah's I was seated aside a couple on a total package from Harrah's Atlantic City to LV. Flights, suite, meals, everything comped. You know what, they didn't have a one nice word to say about National's first class.
I hope he was all wet! I have no first hand knowledge, and you know, sometimes people like to complain to anyone who will listen! LOL
If you do go for the upgrade, I would really like to hear from you, what you think!

Lee, Let you know a week from Sat. The extra room is my primary concern anyway.
