Got this in the mail today....

I don't think it's such a hot offer, but wanted to know what everyone else thought.

For $75 fee I can earn 50% more miles on every CO flight I take for the year 2000.

While CO tries to be helpful when using FF miles, I find it one of the hardest FF systems to use. Even with partners of Northwest & American West, it's still a bear. Plus, paying for a % boost in FF miles seems somehow wrong. I can understand buying miles (straight out purchace) from CO, to acheive some award, but not this way.

Any comments?

Do you get any other benefits? One year I made Chairman's Club with America West and one of the perks was 50% bonus on miles. The next level got you 100% bonus. You could also get cheaper upgrades and upgrade farther in advance.

I would gladly pay $75 to get those benefits.

You'd just have to figure how much you think you'll use them. Figure how many bonus miles you'd get. How many miles it takes for a free ticket and what the average cost of that ticket is.

Jeff. There where no other benifits from the purchase. Except being able to earn a 50% bouns on the miles you travel with them.
