Reminder for everyone....This also helps those that don't even fly National, because most airlines are matching out of Philly. I'd imagian that the same thing is happening in other airports too??? National is sure helping me get better rates out of Philly and using my vouchers for there best value!

Here's the latest National Fares. You can go to their Web site through the Talk Vegas front page and click on Web Specials.

Hurry!!....must be booked by Dec. 2

Web Specials are good for travel between January 4, 2000 and February 29, 2000. Tickets must be purchased by December 2, 1999. Fares are available only through National Airlines' Web Special Reservations page. Seating is limited. Other restrictions apply.

We just booked a trip to LV in March through National for $249 RT (including taxes and surcharges). Great for a non-stop from Philly to LV! However, we did not have those date restrictions when we reserved.

Beth: Thanks for that bit of news about fares out of Philadelphia. I saw where no Philly fares were included in the latest National list. National must be doing well out of there, don't you think?

You got a good price, and non-stop makes it even better.

National only started service out of Philadelphia on November 4. The plane out to Las Vegas on Thanksgiving Day was almost full. Coming home most of the plane was filled with New York passengers, because many of the Philadelphia passengers were moved to another flight. Otherwise according to their web site which I checked before I left I think it would have been about half full. I guess that's not too bad since they are new to Philadelphia. Seems like people are driving to Philadelphia from other areas because of the fares. The couple checking in before us and after us on Thanksgiving Day were also from the Lehigh Valley and another couple was from eastern New Jersey.

Just found these prices on the National website and although the prices aren't quite as good as the ones you have to book by tomorrow they are still a good deal.

Purchase tickets by 12/15. Good for travel by 3/31/00. Need 7 days advance notice.

On another note, the price for a one-way first class upgrade has been increased. On long haul flights the price for an upgrade is now $120 each way. Not sure what the price is for the shorter flights.

Just wanted to mention that 2 people I chatted with today, had a horrible (loss wise) trip to LV, but the one bright spot they both agreed on was National Airlines.
I guess I'm gonna try them. It just goes against everything I beleive in. I just know I'll have the flight from Heck! <S>

National has started vacation packages that include stays at Harrah's and the Rio for travel December 13-22. Other Las Vegas hotel package specials are available for travel January 2-26. I don't have prices, just the above info, but you could contact your travel agent or the airline at 888-757-5387

National "Comps" members receive frequent flyer points equal to 10 percent of their purchase price: for example, 50 points for a $500 vacation.
