Reduced bus fares for seniors and some disabled people will increase under a change approved this week by the Regional Transportation Commission.
The cost of a one-way Citizen Area Transit reduced fare bus ticket will increase to 60 cents on Dec. 1, up from the current 50 cents. A one-month reduced fare pass will increase to $15 from $10.
Eligible for the reduced rates are people 62 and older, and disabled people who do not qualify for paratransit service.
Regular fares will increase as follows:
-- The cost of a one-way residential route fare from $1 to $1.25.
-- The price of a 30-day bus pass from $20 to $30.
-- The cost of a bag of 40 bus tokens from $15 to $20.
