The following is a patial scorecard of merger info from Holly Hegman who writes for TheStreet.com
USAirways/United - The deal is on the table.
American/Northwest - Have talked. We believe a preliminary offer was made to Northwest of around $50-$55 a share. No agreement yet.
American/Delta - Talking. A potential Northwest componant is apparently also a part of the discussions.
Northwest/Everyone - Listening. Enjoying the view.
Continental/Northwest - Northwest still owns a piece of Continental. The two are tight.
Continental/America West - Continental has right-of-first-refusal rights over any deal with America West.
Continental/Delta - Nada, as far as we can tell. However, because of equity deal on the table with Northwest, Northwest would have to be part of any discussion.
America West/TWA - Have been moving toward a comprehensive codesharing deal for months.
Alaska Airlines - Alaska has it's own problems, call back later.
Southwest Airlines - Too busy making money at the expense of USAirways, Delta, American, and everyone else who is sidetracked with dreams of world domination.
