   ?Transportation?
   ?Transportation?
I think this is the best place for this question!
I have a friend at work who wants to take her dad to Vegas. He is very excited and wants to see all the sights. The problem is he has heart problems and can't tolerate walking for more than about 5 minutes without a good amount of recovery time. My question is does anyone have any idea if you can rent a motorized scooter or wheelchair? Any ideas on where to look?
Thanks in advance for any help. Kat

Kat,
I do know that the MGM rents out motorized scooter's to their guest's for $35 a day.

Kat,

Several years back, we planned to do a similar thing. Treasure Island had wheelchairs available. I do not recall what they would have charged. The best advice I have is to use the info at the start of the TalkVegas BB and call various casinos. Best of luck.

Las Vegas Hilton used to have wheelchairs that if you gave them your credit card number, you could use for no charge while you were a guest in the hotel. We used to take it with us to other hotels in the trunk of the rental car. The credit card was to ensure the return of it. smile

Before my Dad bought his own wheelchairs, we also rented one at a local place and took it with us on the plane. We would use it in the airports. Take him down to the plane door, then they would take it and put it in the luggage compartment. Then the next airport would bring it up to the door of the plane for us, and we would have it to use in that airport also. After he bought his own, we continued to do the same thing for years.
