If you are traveling to terminal C or D in the year or so, you might experience a delay due to tram outages. The airport is upgrading it's tram fleet. The only upgrade I can actually find on paper is that the new trams will screens that display flight and gate info. I'm sure there are mechanical upgrades and upgrades to help the passenger.
One line of the C gates tram is already down and that tram is gone. The rails, guides and electrical strips are already ripped out. They say in about 6 months, it will be completed and the other C gate tram line will go down and be upgraded.
After all of that is done, the D gates will undergo the same type of upgrade.
The trams are built by the same company that built the LV monorail and have a much more impressive track record. The C gate trams have each logged over a million miles.
In the time frames where there is only one tram operating, there will be times that the good tram will have to undergo maintenance or will break down. On the C gates, passengers will be able to take a moving walkway. I suspect D gate passengers will be directed to a shuttle bus.
