Casino Rates for October
  Casino Rates for October
Michael just got off the phone with Bellagio, Mirage, and Venetian asking about casino rates for October. (Still trying to figure out how we can be in Las Vegas and Pa. at the same time) Anyway here is what he found out...
Bellagio said that they would comp us for 2 nights. I think it is because our host there is a doll and we have become friends with her.
Our Mirage host said that we could get casino rate which is $79 weekdays and $109 on weekends. We haven't paid for a room at the Mirage in the last 4 trips, and I figured if I have to pay for a room, I would like to stay somewhere different. I came up with the idea of calling the Venetian. We got around 60 points a day on 2 separate days, so I figured we should be able to get a casino rate....WRONG. They told Michael the rate would be $249 per night weekdays. He was afraid to ask what it would be for a weekend night. He told the girl at Club Venetian that we got 60 points on 2 different days and that we thought that would qualify for casino rate. She said that based on our play no, but that if we wanted to talk to a slot host we could. He asked her what casino rate was and was told $99 on weekdays and $119 on weekends. Michael didn't bother to talk to a host since we aren't sure if we can go yet. I guess the free rooms at the Mirage are over. I guess it's time to move to Caesar's. <vbg>
BTW, when we were at the airport waiting for our flight home we started to talk to another passenger and found out that she worked for casino marketing at the Golden Nuggett. She asked me where we had stayed and I told her Mirage and Bellagio. I told her that I have been surprised by our room offers at Bellagio, since our level of play is no where near what I have heard Bellagio wants. She said that "Bellagio has been stealing all other Mirage resorts mailing lists and sending out room offers just to fill up the casino." Guess Steve really needs money to pay off his billion dollar baby.

When I made reservations for October I found many resorts 'sold out'. I called the main reservations number for the Orleans and was told, no room. I called the poker room and they got me in. I then decided to be nice to Patti and got a room at Mandalay Bay, $109 casino rate for Friday and Saturday. The host I met on my last trip is no longer there. The person I spoke to said they could probbaly do more for me at check-out.

Lee Ann, if you want to try Caesars let me know and I'll introduce you to my host there. She is very nice and would love to have you and Michael as customers. She's easy with room comps after you have established a playing level on a trip. She picked up a lot for me on this last trip.

John,
Thanks for the offer. I might take you up on that as soon as I figure out if we can make it in October. I was a little disappointed in our host at the Mirage, she just told Michael you can have casino rate, without even checking our level of play. This is the first time we have called her for room reservations. We usually just go through Club Mirage, but we always have some kind of promotion from casino marketing. Just got another one in the mail today, but it's for September. Another one may come for October, but maybe it is time to try a new casino.

Lee Ann, no one will give you a good rate because you hit too many royals<G> I should pay for your room at Caesars so I can play vp with you and "hold your lucky charms" and hit one also.
Hope you make it in Oct.
