   BJ/Video Poker at Orleans?
   BJ/Video Poker at Orleans?
Hi Everyone!

Just found out about this new BB! It is so nice to see all the familiar names!

55 days and counting til our trip. Can anyone tell me what kind of Video Poker machines and Blackjack rules the Orleans offers? We have a reservation @ Stardust but if the Orleans offers good Blackjack (I am pretty sure they are fine for Video Poker...?) then we may try them. Billhere did a summary of where to play for various games but he did not mention the Orleans for Blackjack. Can anyone help?

Thanks!!!

Cathy,
Welcome to Talk Vegas. Hope you enjoy it here and post with the rest of us. We'll definitely be interested in hearing about your LV trip upon your return.

I'd like to wish you a super trip and a lucky one!

Do not know about BJ at the Orleans. However, they do have a good many full pay vp machines. As a matter of fact, Fred won with a natural royal on a deuces machine.

If you play with a slot card, I believe they still record coins out instead of coins in to build up points on your card.

Good Luck!

Have to agree with Beth, Cathy. Orleans has a great inventory of video poker, including full pay deuces wild (many new ones right across from the new buffet), 10-7 double bonus, etc.

Haven't played BJ at Orleans.

Cathy,
The Orleans deals a fair BJ game. Plenty of tables, friendly dealers. On our last trip, it was the only place I sat down to play. Cocktail service was good too (a personal quality I always look for) a lot of 2 deck games and 6 deck shoe's. The 2 deckers are delt down, which is the way I like to play (I get to touch the cards). It helps keep me in the game. The shoe's on the other hand are delt up. On the six deckers, penatration was pertty fair, on the 2 deckers only got through about half of the cards then shuffled.
The pit crew was a great deal friendlier then at the sister property, Barbary Coast.
Hope this helps

Orleans has an excellent selection of VP. Plus they have some of the friendliest employee's in Vegas. Everyone is extremely helpful and finding a drink server is as easy as losing your money.

I am looking forward to playing there again next trip. Slot point are earned on winnings not coins played.

P.S. Don't forget to get your lucky beads prior to playing.

Just a note re: Orleans slot club. They pay cash back on coins in and comp dollars for coins cashed out. You also accumulate lifetime points which can be used for logo merchandise.
