Sometimes I'll be minding my own business, surfing the web, when I get invited to play "real video poker" for "real money."

Debbie, The online casinos are NOT regulated by the U.S. and as far as I know it is still illegal to bet using the phone (modem) across state lines.

IF you ever get ripped off by one of these online casinos, there is no legal recourse that I know of.

Most of these online casinos are Carribean based and pay big money for licenses. They are making BIG bucks on this.

I've talked to several people who use internet gambling and they're on the up and up. I don't think I'd use one that contacted me however.

I've heard the online casinos are legit, but I would never chance playing with them.

Debbie, you are right about the on-line casinos popping up anywhere. I found it both hilarious and rather sad that there was an on-line casino banner across the top of the Gamblers Anonymous home page.

I know some people that have made money at these sites (the losers aren't talking<g> ), mainly on sports betting, so I agree with the senator that they are legit, but I want the personal touch and live action myself.

Internet Casino's arn't my bag. I want to touch my money and see the dealer smirk as he takes my money!
I get board playing computer games, I guess that's also one of the reasons the internet gambling hold little or no allure for me.
