Okay, at the risk of looking like an absolute idiot, I'll come clean. I've never used coupons like match plays, free ace etc and we just subscribed to LVA....can somebody give me a quick lesson??? I have no idea what a match play is...I have played Let It Ride at the tables and my hubby has done some BJ, but I don't know nuttin! Help? I play VP somewhat as well, but this time since we will have coupons I want to play some tables.... :confused

Quite simply, it is what is says.
You have a $5 match play and you match it with $5 of your own money to play it.
The big difference is they keep the coupon win or lose, ties get to play again, and if your playing BJ, they usually won't pay the 1 1/2 premium on the Match Play if you get a Natural BJ.

Rick is right. Just think of the coupon as another chip. It will have the value that is stated on the coupon and you place your own chip of the same value with it. So a $5 bet becomes $10. It's free money.

The one I like best (find the most interesting) is the one for the Golden Gate. Where for the first hour they pay extra for evey blackjack. I've made some extra money with this coupon before!
