Kui, Larry (a friend of mine that posts here from tiem to time), his wife is hooked on pogoDOTcom I've visited the site a couple of times at his wife Loretta's suggestion. I played, but I too found it sort of slow. Warning....if you sign up, they keep sending you e-mail to come back. I get a kick out of the prize list....when it gets to the bottom, I keep expecting to see "winner of one peice of used chewing gum....Bob Smith" LOL Your also correct the chat I had visited was real rough and unfriendly, and I'm a long time chatter, and didn't go for that treatment. Beleive it or not (some might remember) we even tried chat here on TalkVegas in the early days. It wasn't well received because we all seem to be on differnt schedules. ------------------ Lee-PA Moderator, What's New Forum lee@talkvegas.com

Blossom, I have an idea. Have each of your house guest play for at least 3 hours a day for staying with you. That way you keep them entertained and you build a lot of points. You can schedule them to play in shifts<G> I can see it now. Blossom encouraging her guests, "come on guys, start playing faster. I need the points"<G> ------------------ John Moderator Dining Forum and Entertainment, Attractions and Sightseeing Forum john@talkvegas.com

Blossom, I worked in several restaurants in my early years also. Made it all the way to evening cook, then quit to do what I've been doing for the last 24 years. I know all the horror stories, but I know the way my kitchen was run, and their was nothing going on in the back that would upset anyone. One of my new watering holes has installed a glass wall for the entire kitchen. You can watch the whole kitchen work to prepare your food.....the place is spotless! I'm glad your all making points however for the buffets.....Maybe the line will now be shorter at the coffee shops & specialty restaurants, because everyone will be at their free buffet! <VBG> ------------------ Lee-PA Moderator, What's New Forum lee@talkvegas.com

D.A.G., If I see a restaurant employee in the restroom walk past the row of sinks....everyone in the place will know about it!!! Actully, I'll take a few restaurant employees touching my silverware over hundreds, maybe thousands, of people touching it at the buffet wagon, mostly because I'll bet 50% didn't wash after using the washroom! Play the odds man.....play the odds! LOL BobG, So sorry, I really don't want to push my phobia's on to other people. I was just stating my reasoning for my dislike of the buffets.....now don't even get me started on the bathroom phones! ------------------ Lee-PA Moderator, What's New Forum lee@talkvegas.com

I'm trying to make a macro program that will just keep hitting the left mouse button...at the right time. My problem is that Wagerworks is soooooo buggy, my programs aren't working.
Re: 800 points per hour, I'm on the Phantom JOB game. I'm not really playing the game by holding cards. I deal and draw. When my credits (playing points) get under 1000, I go to the Bananarama slot machine and build my points back up over 2000 in about 10 minutes. Then it's back to JOB without ever holding cards....just push the deal/draw button.
Getting max prize points in minimal time might be relative to computer connect speed, antivirus program, and firewall. I have seen my firewall settings affect play, but be very careful. Sometimes when the computer locks up on their server side, you might get the screen name or prize points of another player. I'm not sure why, but I would want to be certain that my firewall is only open to the required ports, and that no infected files come down the pipe.
I also dabbled with the Arabian Riches slots. The fastest way to get through one of those is to hit the max button so that the wheels start spinning, and hit the F5 key, which refreshes the screen. The key to success on this is to watch the bootom of the slot machine where it says sending data or receiving data, and as soon as the data is transmitted, refresh the screen. The biggest problem is the slowdown when it goes into a bonus round. However that is where the points build up and might be less than the time delay switching to the banana game for points.
I found most of the other games too slow or require too much interaction to be time/points efficient.

I could not get on the site for several days, but last night they allowed me to break thru. Sure hope I don't become addicted like you guys!<LOL>
JMT, If you'll be holding a meet at "B", maybe I should play for "B" points.<G> By the way, do we, as Joyce mentioned, lose our prize points by switching from one hotel on the site to another?
Who's addicted? Deal, draw, deal, draw, deal, draw, deal, draw...............<LOL>

Just some more info. I am using Joe's method and it works fine. But I cannot sit there for more than 10-15 minutes. So I run up 100 points and then take a break. I go get a beer, watch some tv, check out other web pages, etc. Then I come back and rack up another 100 points. So that way I keep my sanity. It is interesting that I do pretty well retaining my credits while just hitting the Bet Max/Deal button and holding no cards. I may even be doing better than playing perfect strategy. Kinda makes me think about trying this in Las Vegas-----on nickle machines<G> If I can get 3 free buffets at Bellagio, then that is pretty good. I can take my wife and her cousin in a few weeks and it won't cost me anything. At buffets I generally stay with the carved meats so I tend to get my monies worth. ------------------ John Moderator Dining Forum and Entertainment, Attractions and Sightseeing Forum john@talkvegas.com

Joe, I thought you needed to accumulate points at the particular hotel you wanted the prize for. At the account menu and it tells you how many points you have at that hotel. I don't see how you could switch them around. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's what "account menu" suggests. Beth, I wasn't talking about losing points when you change hotels, I was talking about losing credits - the things at the bottom of the screen you need in order to play - kinda like money put in the machines in the casino so you can win real money. And who would ever say that you're not completely absorbed by this. I know I'm not. "Deal, draw, deal draw, deal draw, deal draw"...Thanks for the hint JMT. Blosom, You say "just hit the button (key)", and they will give you 1000 credits more. Which key (button) do you press? As far as your guests, I would love to have someone take over on the computer for me. Ask them if they've ever been to Chicago and maybe they would like to go. I could use some relief at that site, and the Windy City is a fun place to visit, but they'll have to pay for their own buffets here, but at least I'll give them a place to stay if they agree to visit the computer every now and then. (3 x a day for an hour each time). Speaking of "that" site - anyone been there today? Are you doing okay? I've been in and out of the house today, but whenever I try to go there, I cannot get to a game. It's always, "retry" or just a white screen. How did you do today? (Sunday)

Hi gang. I was frosted too. Based on reading the success everyone had had with it, I dedicated myself to earning enough points for the Bellagio buffet for my wife and myself for next week's trip. Had capitalized on the 3 and 4 point/per that had been mentioned here, got almost enough, then the 1 point per every two pulls on Banana kicked in along with the grotesque new levels. ARRRGH. I did email them of my anger, but of course they did not respond. The fine print does say that they can change anything at anytime without telling anyone, which, unfortunately they did. Yet another customer incentive program gone wrong. And what gets me is that it did take time to rack up the points, so it's not like we're just being handed these "prizes". AND, if we're already there eating, wouldn't it be logical to think we would stay to drop a large sum gambling?? Somebody was getting greedy. Oh well. Still looking forward to next week and to NOT leaving cash behind at any of the MGM/Mirage places. See ya.

My suggestion is to just quit using the site. When they lose all their participants they might change things. Sounds like something the Rio/Harrahs would do. ------------------ John Moderator Dining Forum and Entertainment, Attractions and Sightseeing Forum john@talkvegas.com
