In an effort to stop John McCain from obtaining an NCAA bill to stop betting on college sports, Steve Wynn supposedly made a call to tell him he(Wynn) believes there is no connection between illegal gambling on college campuses and legal betting in Nevada sports books.

They claim they were unable to get a response from McCain. Understand that Wynn was a supporter and contributor to McCain's campaign. Lobbying at its best!!!!

Don't know if there's a connection, but I'm sure you would not stop the illegal gambling on college campuses just because a bill was passed and signed.

Legalize it and stop the nonsense! People will always gamble so get smart and tax it and stop the money from going to the bad guys? Same goes for ladies of the night laws I read somewhere that half the the police officers in this country are assigned to these "crimes"? When will they get smart?

McCain should spend his time trying to solve REAL problems instead of trying to create a problem that doesn't exist and then pass a law to solve it. Sometimes I think these guys have too much time on their hands.

I agree with Bob G. and John. There are bigger problems in this country than i- net gambling.
They can get a little more serious with there war on drugs for one. Another would be affordable prescription drugs for seniors!

I agree, but even the smaller problems would be more important then gambling. Like trash pick-up, the adopt a lawyer fund, the people who need people fund, the termites have rights coalition, and the ever popular, beer makes a great breakfast drink campain!

The two-faced Repbulicrat is at it again. And he's doing his best to destroy our second amendment rights also, you would think that a former POW would value freedom more than anyone else, but he doesn't seem too. I'm just glad that Bush got the nomination instead of McCain or else we might have ended up with Algore as our Prez.
