Hi,

I'll be in Las Vegas on Aug. 4th, and I'm hearing their Slot club offers a reimbursment for any losses when you sign up for the first time.... I think up to $100.

Does anyone know about this?? What's involved?? a good deal??

I'm looking for some good slot clubs, that will mail good offers (room comps, etc.) for good play.

I would appreciate and input.

Hi Jack, welcome to TalkVegas! The Harrah's deal is a good one IF you are planning more than one trip to Las Vegas. They will return up to $100 of your losses, but it will be in the form of a voucher good on your NEXT trip. The Stratosphere offers a similiar deal; my mom just received her voucher from the Strat, and it's good for up to one year. I'm not sure what the time limit is for the Harrah's offer.

You also have to be a NEW Harrah's member to get this offer. I went to a Harrah's riverboat once in 1998 and got a card. I used the card exactly once. When I was in Las Vegas last year and heard about the offer, I went to sign up. I was still in the database as a current member and they wouldn't let me have this deal. It didn't matter - I didn't see one full pay VP machine in the entire place! (I'm not a big Harrah's fan anyway.)

Go to the talkvegas home page and scroll down to the hotels/casinos.
You can access all the casino web pages from there and when you sign up on the various websites they will email you offers. Most slot clubs send offers based upon your prior play so you have to concentrate your play to a select few casinos in order to get some good offers. Sign up for all the slot cards you can and they will mail you offers just for signing up.
Caesars is pretty good with their offers and I heard tha Aladdin is going to start sending better offers since their business is down.
