   Casino Host Etiquette?
   Casino Host Etiquette?
A friend is hooking me up with a casino host for the first time. Could you folks share some tips on appropriate etiquette for working with a host? For example, I heard that you don't bring a gift the first time, but you do on subsequent visits.

My level of play is pretty low, so I don't expect a lot of perks or comps - but I would like to have a staff person in my corner if any problems or needs arise.

Thanks in advance for letting me once again enroll in the TalkVegas College of Knowledge!

Kestral: Not knowing you, I don't know where you are staying or often stay? This does make quite a difference in relationships with hosts.

#1.. Find him or her and introbuce yourself..
#2.. Ask questions that you need to know. explain amount of play that is expected, as you don't have a play record??
#3.. Touch base with the host if possible during your stay...get to know them! Them to know you!
#4.. Correct, don't worry about a gift on your first trip...If what is done for you, maybe next time down?
.....Often times, at many places a host will look you up..especially if your friend is putting in a good word for you... cool
