I just received a letter from the Orleans, and Club Coast is changing from "coin-out" to "coin-in." Here's a summary....
Starting Monday, Oct 29, every dollar of coin-in will earn one point* - you can redeem 1000 points for $1 in cash back or comps. Current Club Coast points will be adjusted so that the comp value currently held will remain the same.
To celebrate the change, Orleans is giving triple points through Jan 14, 2008, and they are promising "a whole new wave of player benefits" in 2008.
Now, about that asterisk<g> ... small print at the bottom of the letter says .... *may vary depending on model of gaming device.
That small print might be the most interesting part of the letter to me - *IF* it means they will follow the Boyd pattern out at Sam's Town, where $1 coin-in also equals 1 comp point, EXCEPT on positive EV video poker, where they give 1 comp point for every $2 coin-in.
My first thought was "they don't have any positive games left at the Orleans!" - second thought was "maybe they'll bring back some good video poker?"
