Here are some news items I've gathered from rumor and news:
The final stages of Frank Sinatra drive are almost done. It will go from Russell Rd, to Spring mountain west of the strip. (I can't wait) will be mostly used by Hotel/Casino workers to access all the properties along that route. Will be good for locals, and visitors who know about it too.

Rio Hotel has gotten the ok from the county
to build a bridge to link it to the Srip, across the 15. Cost is $1.3million, the Rio is paying $900,000 of it.

Another Coast Hotel/Casino, Coast properties is building a 216 room Mediterranean style Hotel/Casino in Smmerlin. It

The Greenspun Corp. has retained Calif-based, Comspan Communications Inc., a consulting firm specializing in television network development, to develop the Vegas Television Network, an international television network based on the "Las Vegas Experience." The Las Vegas Sun reports principals hope to have a network on the air by mid to late 2000. Larry Namer, head of Comspan and founder of E! Entertainment Television Inc., says concepts being considered include a late-night talk show with celebrity guests, a cooking show, sports programs, and a morning show. Namer says "everybody is putting their flagships in Las Vegas so entertainers, chefs and celebrities are readily available."

I think that LV TV topic would have a real winner if they had a show similar to Regis Philbin's "So You Want to be a Millionaire!".

But make the final prize higher so the winner can still be a millionaire after paying taxes.

The show would also have to be renamed and revised to make it more appropriate with a Las Vegas theme.

Any ideas on the concept and on the name of the show itself?

Will, no, this is a new N/S frontage road being built to run on the east side of 15 from russell to Flamingo, then to connect to Industrial. Mirage and Circus donated land and money to build it.
