The LV Sun reports that police are looking for two men in connection with the robbery of a Brinks armored car at 9:10 a.m. on Monday outside Mandalay Bay.

The men robbed the Brinks security guards outside the resort, took their weapons, cash, and checks from the truck. The amount stolen was not disclosed; however, all the cash was in $50 bills.

V, that's the second Brinks robbery in the recent months. Did they catch the robbers from the DI? I don't remember. Maybe it's the same guys.

If the family was still in control, these people would get a Personalized tour of Hovver Dam. The one that exams the base of the Dam from the Lake Mead side.

John: The police seem to think the same robbers who pulled the Mandalay Bay armored- car heist could very well be linked to the Desert Inn armored-car robbery along with the same thing happening at the MGM. I didn't even realize there had been a similar type of robbery at the MGM this year!

They couldn't have gotten much money. I hardly ever see $50 bills in Vegas. (except my bar tab)

JMT,
I was thinking the same thing, there arn't that may 50's floating around.
As a matter of fact, I was informed a few trips ago (by a couple of bartenders) (go figure) that $50 bills are conciderd unlucky. I was given h#ll for showing up with so many of them. I lost big time that trip too! So I don't take them anymore! <s>
(yeah....like that is gonna make a deferance)

We were just told by someone who was in LV when the robbery occurred that rumor has it to be an inside job. Seemed the robbers knew the schedule of pickup times, but then again, maybe that isn't too hard to figure out if one studies the casino.

V and Lee,

I've heard the same thing about $50's. When you go to the cage you'll notice they have $100's, $20's, $10's, $5's and $1's. Never a slot for $50's.

I used a $50 when I hit my last Royal!

Jeff,
The way it works for me most times is, if the money is in my wallet in Vegas....it's all unlucky money. LOL

Haven't really noticed, do the bill validators take 50's?
