This week at the Stardust, the demolition of 537 hotel rooms that opened in 1958 begins. In all, four 2-story buildings on the west end of the hotel will come down. The demolition should take at least a week and will not interfere with any casino operations.
When the rooms are finally gone, the Stardust plans to expand its convention space, and sometime in the future, add a new tower.
