When I first started spending a good bit of time on the internet, I was amazed how many people registered for website names with the pure intent and hope of selling the name later to a business for big bucks. Some call this good business sense and others see it as pure "greed". In the following, a retort to MGM suing was, "Hey, I'll sell the name to you after football season". Any thoughts or comments? Who do you think will win?

LV casino resort sues Internet firm over trademark dispute
LAS VEGAS SUN

The MGM Grand Hotel sued to stop a Huntington Beach, Calif.-based operator of an online casino from using the MGM trademark to advertise online gaming.

In a U.S. District Court lawsuit, MGM sued Sarkis Pelthkian and MGM Sportsbook, alleging they refused on Nov. 6 to relinquish their "mgmsportsbook.com" domain name until after the football season because they were "making good money" at the website.

The suit said Pelthkian offered to sell the domain name to MGM instead.

The defendants could not be reached for comment.
