U.S. Airways announced that it may consider filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy if it canot obtain federally backed loans.

Most likely this will be another reorganization and the airlines will keep flying. Guess I'd better check on our FF miles just in case.

This year I have been on a campaine to use all my FF miles and travel vouchers I own. They will be worthless when an airline goes belly-up.

So lets see, AM West had servived buy just a couple of days from bankruptsey around 911, National is in Bankruptsey now, and USairways may file! Looks like all the direct flights from Philly are involved!
